For those that don't follow the Strobist blog, there's a new bootcamp this year and more challenging assignments...with prizes for the winner. Pretty cool, and fun even if you don't win. The assignment was to do a portrait of someone that would be appropriate for their use in a professional manner for job hunting. Mine probably doesn't fit in so well with the theme, but I thought it was funny and cool. Doug works in sales for industrial gases...mainly for pertro chemical companies. He also loves cigars. So I thought it would be a funny juxtaposition.
We also messed around a bunch with some of Doug's new toys. The Photek Softlighter is a double diffused 60" umbrella. Craziness.
