Last Day in Portland
Today my parents headed back to Seattle and Chris went to work. My sister's kitchen faucet had some issues due to a faulty clip assembly, so the first task of the day was to put in a new faucet with my 4 legged helper. Afterwards my sis and I went to Fry's to browse some hot tech deals. I got a sweet 500GB 7200 rpm laptop drive for $69 tax free and a hot 9 LED flashlight for $3. Then we headed to Pok Pok for lunch. We had the awesome Pok Pok special and Ike's Vietnamese Chicken Wings. Man were they good. Then on the way back to the car we stopped off at the Flying Cat Cafe for some coffee and pastries. Now its time for a Band of Brother's Blue Ray marathon. Good way to end a long vacation.

Dinner(s)
My mom brought the pantry with her, so we've been eating home cookin' every night. Curry and french bread for the first dinner. Second dinner was soup noodles with shrimp and pork.
My Sister's preference for no crust in her bread...LOL

Day After Christmas Eating and Shopping
Had some dumplings for breakfast and then went to the outlet mall to do some serious after Christmas shopping.

Spending Christmas in Portland with my sister, bro-in-law, and parents. We celebrated in with a traditional Chinese dinner.

Fall Colors in Houston
Looks like there was finally a cold spell long enough in Houston to get all the leaves to change color. The latest firmware for the 5800 definitely improved the camera...of course so does manual user settings.

Guangzhou
The city where my Mom's family came from and the birthplace of Cantonese (it
used to be called Canton). Anyway, spent a night there, but really didn't
get to see the city at all. Here's some views from my hotel room. The
hotel was on the campus of Guangzhou university.
