Met up with Doug in Austin last weekend to give him the G10 he bought from me and return the aerobed I borrowed when I moved out to San Angelo. As it turned out the Art City Austin festival was going on that weekend and just so happened to be 2 blocks from the Radisson we were staying at. Hotwire totally rocked, as we got the room for $87 a night it was right by the water on Cesar Chavez and Congress. Walking distance to 6th St. and tons of nice restaurants. Very cool. Stopped by the capitol building to take some snaps and ran across a couple wedding parties. The food...and the women...of Austin definitely rocked. See all the photos here.

Kid Portraits

San Angelo Art Walk 2010
Who knew San Angelo was just a hub for art. There was free food and wine as well as trolley rides to get you around all the exhibits around town. Definitely a cool event. Some said San Angelo was like Austin in the '60s. Who knows if that's good or bad. We ended up at the Chicken Farm hanging out with a nice Irish lady named Mary. She had flown in from FL for this event and she and her friends paid for the all the food and drink they served up at the chicken farm. The ribs, dirty rice, and corn on the cob were delicious. In any case, it was a good way to spend a Friday evening. See the rest here.

Sparks Flying
Been a while since I did any light painting. Got a little inspiration from a british photo mag today and decided to do a quick shot of a lighter. Had to put some black gaffers tape on my thumb so it wouldn't reflect light from the sparks. But having a totally dark room helped too.

Texas Wildflowers
All the wildflowers are blooming and my allergies is are going crazy. Pretty little things though. Only camera I had with me is the phone...the E75 takes some pretty decent pics with the right settings.

SSD is Here
Just got a hot deal on an OCZ Agility 60gb drive. Over 220 mb/s reads and 135 mb/s writes. Low power consumption. Can't beat that for $124 after rebate. Perfect for the server, since all it needs is space for the OS.
