Finally got around to visiting Dan up in Chicago again. Its been about 2 yrs since I've been up there and life's definitely changed for Dan. Moved to the suburbs with 1.95 kids. Crazy what can happen in 2 yrs. Anyway, we had a grand old time doing photography, eating, and hanging out with Sheryl Crow. Well, we didn't exactly hangout with her, but she was definitely in the pavilion as we were.

Canon 70-200 L F4 Coffee Mug
Finally got my sweet canon coffee mug. Since they were so hard to get for a while, prices jumped to the $50 range. I ended up getting mine for $46 shipped free. Unfortunately, I thought the build quality might be up to L standards, but was a bit disappointed. The mug came shipped in a padded envelope which lead to the box disintegrating at the seams. I could probably glue it back together. The distance scale was a bit tilted, and the focus ring rubber was wonky, but both were easily fixed. The mug is still awesome despite all those issues.

Its been a while since of put anything up, especially anything with strobe. So here are a couple pics using on camera flash (yeah, I know blasphemy). Amazing how big weeds can get...and how good they can look.
